First Circular

Dear Leaders,
We are pleased to invite your country to the 12th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO2011) which will be held at Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel, during May 1 - May 9, 2011.
This is the first circular by the APhO2011 Organizing Committee. We are now in the progress of sending out the official invitation to the participating countries. We therefore ask you to notify us of the mailing information of your Minister of Education or equivalent education authority. We need to have his/her exact name, title, and mailing address. Please fill out the attached CONFIRMATION FORM of requested information and return it (preferably by e-mail) as soon as possible but not later than November 30, 2011 at the following e-mail address or fax:

APhO2011 Outline

According to the Statutes of APhO, each participating country may send a team consisting of 8 students at most and two accompanying leaders. The travel costs to and from Israel are the responsibility of each participating country. The APhO2011 Organizing Committee will cover all the official expenses for the team, including meals, transportation and accommodations during the official period. Observers and visitors are welcome.
As an established custom in the Asian Physics Olympiads, each participating country is encouraged to contribute a voluntary fee of US$1,000. We warmly welcome the observers and visitors from all countries who accompany their delegations. Observers will be charged US$1,100 each and visitors US$1,000 each.
Observers may attend all Olympiad meetings, including the meetings of the International Board. However they may not vote or take part in the discussions. Visitors do not attend the meetings of the International Board.
