The preparation for the coming 12th Asian Physics Olympiad has been proceeding very well. The following 18 countries, have confirmed their participation in the 12th APhO.

Entry Visas
The following countries, Australia, Hong-Kong, Mongolia, Russia, and Singapore are eligible for visa-exempt entry.
 
For those countries that require an entry visa to Israel, we will issue a group visa. I am pleased to advise you that the Israel Ministry of Education has informed us that the group entry visa fee to Israel for participating in the APhO 2011 will be waived.
In order to issue a group visa, parents of participants under the age of 18 are required to sign a letter of consent that has been sent to you a few days ago. The letter has to be signed also by the delegation's leader affirms the consent with his/her signature.
 
All letters together with all personal details (full name, DOB, passport number, date of issue, date of expiration, nationality) of all delegation members have to be sent to me via the email no later then March 31st.
 
  • The following delegations are required an entry visa and have an Israeli Embassy/Representative Office:
    • India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Macao. Those delegations are required to forward to me the information mentioned above no later than March 31. We then will send each delegation a letter with which you can go the Israeli embassy and stamp all passports. The delegations' leaders have to have the letter with them upon arrival to Israel.
  • The following delegations are required an entry visa and do not have an Israeli Embassy in their county.
    • Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Tajikistan. Those delegations are required to forward to me the information mentioned above no later than March 31. Delegations from these countries will get a letter
      from us confirming that a landing visa is waiting for them at the Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel-Aviv. The delegations' leaders have to have the letter with them upon arrival to Israel.

Registration
Registration form is now available in the APhO 2011 website at http://apho2011.tau.ac.il
User names and passwords have been sent to you a few weeks ago. We urge you to log-in and complete your registration no later than March 31.
 
 
Lodging
Leaders, observers and guests will be asked to share a double room. Those who prefer a single-occupancy room will have to pay an additional charge of $500 ($62.5 per night) for the Olympiad period. Payment will be maid upon check-in at the hotel. A limited number of single-occupancy rooms are available; therefore, the first-come-first- served policy will be applied for those who wish to book this type of room. Please advise us no later than April 1.
 
 
 
Payment of Fees
All payments including voluntary fee (US$1,000) and the charges for observers (US$1,100) and visitors (US$1,000) should be paid either at the reception desk upon your arrival in Tel-Aviv or by electronic transfer in advance.
